Our Story

This is the story of a girl named Ling. When Ling was nine years old she was abandoned in a local marketplace. Local authorities took her to a local social institute. After a short time in the institute she moved in with a foster family. She is attending public school.

This is also the story of a girl named Le Shi. When Le Shi was eleven years old she was abandoned near a major airport. Local authorities took her to a local social institute. She is living and attending school there as well.

Two girls. Both age 13. Both abandoned at a later age. Both needing a permanent home.

This is also our story. We have had the desire to add to our family through adoption for some years. Through prayer and direction from church friends who were adopting internationally, we decided to explore our options. Our search led us to pictures and a bio of a 12 year old girl named Ling. Our hearts were immediately drawn to her story. Five months later we were providentially introduced to a 13 year old girl named Le Shi. We were immediately drawn to her story as well after reading her bio.

This is now our story and their story. We are in the process of adopting Ling and Le Shi through Lifeline Children’s Services.  Our home study has been approved and our I-800a has been approved by the USCIS (immigration). Our dossier has been logged in and is now in translation in China.

This is your story as well. We need your prayers. And quite honestly, we need your financial support. These two things are vital to the completion of our adoption. Please be in prayer for our journey to bring our daughters home. We are also praying that they will get to meet each other and get to know each other before we arrive in China.

Ultimately this is God’s story. He is writing His story in and through each of our lives. He is a merciful God who loves us, saves us, keeps us, and calls us to live out the gospel to bring Him glory.
